Overall, it is an interesting article. However, presence of SNP cannot be ruled out using PCR and agarose gel electrophoresis. Allele-specific PCR and sequencing are required to detect SNPs. Moreover, even for small deletions, it is better to validate PCR-based techniques by using DNA sequencing.
