Proper Use of Molecular Analysis Techniques for SNPs and Detection of Small Deletions

Overall, it is an interesting article. However, presence of SNP cannot be ruled out using PCR and agarose gel electrophoresis. Allele-specific PCR and sequencing are required to detect SNPs. Moreover, even for small deletions, it is better to validate PCR-based techniques by using DNA sequencing.
