Abstract

A Dirac spinor can be understood as a two-dimensional rotation of any generator. The linear sigma model of spontaneous symmetry breaking (SSB) is available for the Lagrangian of rotational symmetry. From this, it follows that a Dirac spinor (a lepton or a quark) is a looped photon rotating along the trough of the potential in the linear sigma model. Within this framework, quarks and leptons are derived definitively.

Keywords: lepton, quark, looped photon, linear sigma model, Dirac spinor.
